Magnetic separator is not only suitable for wet or dry separation of manganese ore, magnetite, pyrrhotite , roasted ore , ilmenite and hematite limonite whose particle size are less than 50mm, but also for iron removal of coal, non-metallic minerals, construction materials and so on. During the daily operation, the magnetic index of magnetic separator needs to be adjusted by adjusting the following three factors: roller speeds, baffle position and feeding amount of ore. With the reasonable regulation of these three factors, the magnetic separation indexes can be improved. During the following paragraphs, Hongxing Machinery will show you the details:

1. The adjustment of roller speed. It determines the centrifugal force of mineral particles in the surface of the cylinder and magnetic interaction of the magnetic particles. If the rotor speed is increasing, the centrifugal force will become larger, so that the magnetic effect is enhanced, which improves the grade of concentrate and ore processing capacity at the same time.

2. The adjustment of baffle. This mainly refers to the upper and lower tailing baffle and their positions can control the tailings grade level (or tailings size). When the middling grade changes, it will have effect on the grade of concentrate.

3. Adjust the feeding amount of ore. It determines the thickness of material layer on the roller. If the feeding amount is large and the layer of material is thick, material on the surface of the magnetic particles are small, which is easy to be thrown into the tailings to increase the tailings grade.

The mineral magnetic rate also has effect on the magnetic separation index. When the magnetic rate is high, the operation of magnetic separator should be based on the guarantee of concentrate quality to reduce the tailings grade andimprove the recovery rate of ores. When the magnetic rate is low, the operation should ensure the concentrate grade and reduce the tailings grade.
