Introduces Why the Crusher Hammer Becomes Hardened
During Impact crusher working, the crusher hammer not only strikes by the impact of the material, but also erodes by the material. After long term use repeatedly, the surface of the hammer is worn and the surface shape will change. The corners of the hammerhead on both sides will be ground and change into a smooth camber surface and then the surface force is changed. The force acting on the wear surface can be decomposed into two components; one is normal force that perpendicular to the hammer face, the other is tangential force that parallel to the hammer face. The former produces knock-on affects on the crusher hammer, the latter cuts and erodes the hammer surface.
In the early work time of hammer head, the main form is impact wear; when the hammer head is worn, the main form is erosion wear. Erosion wear is the main forms of hammerhead invalid. Although the impact of the material can harden the hammerhead, but the impact force is not enough to make the working face of the hammer crusher formed sturdy hardening layer which cause the wear resistance of the hammerhead is not enough and ultimately makes hammerhead rapid failure at work life.
