How to Recycle the Tailing Water?

Tailings is an inevitable secondary product during the ore dressing process. In general, a large amount of flotation reagents will be used in flotation process, and some of them are even highly toxic substances, causing serious damages or destruction to human health, livestock, farmland, soil and the environment. Therefore, in order to comprehensively utilize our national resources and eliminate the tailing pollution to our environment, the ore dressing plants should manage and store up the discharged tailings in a planned way. Besides, strengthen the comprehensive utilization of tailings, turn waste into wealth and turn harm into good. Tailing disposal usually includes three aspects: The first is aimed at tailing storage; The second is water recycling in regards to the water within the tailings; The last is tailing water purification.

Next, Hongxing Machinery will specially introduce the methods of tailing water recycling. There are two major ways:

1. Condense the tailings with concentrator equipment and utilize the overflow water as backwater. In this way, it usually requires to set up a concentrator near or inside of the ore dressing plant to dehydrate the tailings and send part or all the overflow water as backwater to the ore dressing plant for reuse. This method usually used in gravity or magnetic magnetic separation plants, with a water recovery rate reaching 40% to 70%.

2. Take the overflow water in the tailing pile as backwater. This method is to send all the tailings to the tailing pile and clarify it there, then send the clarified tailing water to the overflow well and through the drain-pipe discharge it out of the dam, and finally return to the ore dressing plant.
